My dearest darling fiance loves to call me out for falling asleep during it. Here's the thing, it's not like I was bored or uninterested in the movie. For the first hour or so of it, I was enthralled, I loved it! The characters were great, the story both imaginative and relate-able. It was everything you could expect from Studio Ghibli. That being said, it was kind of late (for me that means it was past 9 pm) and in my defence I really had not been sleeping well. Plus movie-lighting, and a comfy cuddle made for ideal sleeping circumstances even in my most rested state.
Anyway, back to the point. Kiki is absolutely great as a character, but I love Jiji. The sarcastic, but loyal good-advice-giving friend is a role I can get behind (though I hear this character is quite different in the Japanese version of the film). Basically, Jiji is me if I suddenly became a witch's familiar.
Normally, basic swing tanks are not my scene. Then I stumbled upon this tank from Linkitty. The print struck me instantly. It is the perfect blend of trendy, cute, fun and whimsical. Also the benefits of a semi-basic printed tank: easy wearability. Graphic print tops are always in, and honestly so effortless to pair with jeans, or pants, blazers or leather jackets. That being said, I need this in my life. If you feel the same, you now know where to find it!
