I've got to start this post off with a shout-out to the real starpeople, amazing friends, family (not restricted to just biological, but they definitely count too!) and even you, dearest reader!
I just got one of my friends back from the other side of the country, so I'm pretty pumped about that. Also I really adore his entire family, I honestly consider them to be like my own family. His mom is definitely getting a Mother's Day gift. Or at the very least a really nice card.
Anyway, point is, friends and family are awesome, the amount of love I've felt lately (both on the giving and receiving side) has been tremendous, and this all makes for a very happy blog post.
Ok! Now that that's out of the way, on to the actual content. So these graphic rock and roll band tees are the hottest thing right now. As someone who's been living in band tees since like...high school, I'm a big fan of this trend. All kinds of bands suddenly have merch that is infinitely more accessible than it was just a few months ago. Side note: I absolutely can't wear tees for bands I don't like. Regardless of how aesthetically pleasing the design may be, I just can't bring myself to do it.
Now, it's a weekday morning, I'm already running behind (as is the norm). I needed to figure out what to pair with my black ripped jeans and blue denim button up ASAP. I'm digging through my drawers looking for the perfect band tee, when it hits me. How is it possible that I don't own a David Bowie tee? I pulled out Pink Floyd, two different tees of The Beatles, Led Zepplin...but no Bowie. Made a mental note to find one later that night, and settled on Pink Floyd as I dashed off to work.
That night I googled David Bowie tees and was not disappointed. This crossover Starlord/ Bowie tee was one of the first things to pop up and I absolutely love it. Instantly. The perfect blend of trendy, a little cheeky, a little rock and roll, and fun? Yes please. Get your own via Etsy here.
