This post is for those true trekkies who can appreciate a stylish, and might I add, ADORABLE skirt. I'm currently obsessed with this skirt from EmeraldAngel. Sure pleated skirts are considered to be a huge trend for 2014. Major designers like Proenza Schouler, Christian Dior, and Alexander Wang brought the pleated skirt back to the forefront of our attention, but this is no flash-in-the-pan type trend. And any Star Trek fan knows, history counts and durability matters. To make this look really timeless, pair with a simple blouse for summer (sweaters and knee high boots work for winter), and some strappy sandals. For something a little more fun and right now, hop on that crop top trend and show just a bit of midriff.
I have to admit, I'm not much of a trekkie myself. Not that there's anything wrong with Star Trek, it's just something I never really got into. But it's undeniably an ingrained permanent part of geek culture. Somehow even though I've only seen a few episodes, I still know far more than I should (considering my viewing history, or lack thereof) about the show. Why is that? Probably because it's one of the most referenced and talked about television programs ever. Also, I surround myself with geeks, obviously it's bound to come up. I've learned a thing or two along the way. This post is for those true trekkies who can appreciate a stylish, and might I add, ADORABLE skirt. Rochelle BInstead of fairy tales, my dad read me Batman comics as a kid. My mom preferred to dress me up as a princess. This chic-geek combo is the result. Archives
